Festival of Banners

The Community comes together each year to hand paint vinyl banners that are displayed on street poles throughout the downtown. Streets Alive collaborated with the Orillia Museum of Art & History for this program that began a decade ago. The banner art creates an open air gallery that brightens the streets and adds interest and uniqueness to the city core. The process of Banner painting and the result of as many as 100 pieces of public art on display, instills a wonderful sense of civic pride in the community.
